After the visitors from Allstate insurance arrived, everyone began to complain. Everyone looked around and was thunderstruck. The trouble began instantly upon arrival with the cascading water falls, the splashing fountains, and all the palm trees. Something was just not right; after check-in the problems became more obvious.
The Marriott Resort at Marco Beach had a scent, even in the lobby that overlooked one of the largest and most pristine sugar sand beaches ever; there was a fragrance of lemon grass. It was not unpleasant, it was nice and soothing and relaxing, but the pleasing aroma therapy just made matters worse.
When everyone was trying to get settled in the big over-sized rooms with the tremendous emerald-green, Gulf of Mexico view, and as all the newcomers were trying to overcome that nagging feeling that was just too hard to ignore, a balmy breeze whispered through coconut palms and carried the honey-scented perfume of beautiful flowers. Once again, this was bad.
When sunset arrived and all the Allstate guests were seated with tropical drinks-in-hand at Quinn’s on the beach, and the red, purple, and magenta sky began to fade into orange stardust, everyone looked to each other with disgust.
“On the last trip we traveled over ten hours,” One of the most seasoned travelers began, “With multiple flight changes and transfers, and even when we arrived in Maui it wasn’t as nice as this!”
“That right! Another chimed in. “Someone had better tell someone about Marco! There’s going to be trouble when everyone that went to Maui finds out about this Island! This Marriott has everything Hawaii offers but it’s much closer. It’s really easy to get here!”
“And don’t forget, the rooms are bigger, the people nicer, and the sugar-sand beach much better. Even the sunsets are better and so are the prices. Marco Island must be the best kept vacation secret in America and we wasted all that time with Hawaii when we could have come here! This is bad!”
Most flights from major cities and connections in the mainland US can easily reach Fort Myers in less than three hours. From Chicago, New York, or Detroit, or even Kansas City the flights into Fort Myers Florida are readily accessible. After arriving in the new terminal of the South West Florida International Airport, a forty-five minute drive is all that remains to travel to Marco Island and truly find a paradise that is closer than ever at Marriott’s Marco Beach Resort Golf Club and Spa.
