Many beach going vacationers collect beach sand. Little vials of sand are often displayed alongside favorite holiday photos that capture the perfect vacation. Some of the vials are from very far away and black sand is often displayed as a trophy from a distant and exotic land.

Volcanic regions such as Hawaii create black sand beaches while the beaches of British Bermuda boast a colorful beach of pink tinted sand. The beaches of California are darker in color and Californians often advertise their pacific coast strands as golden avenues of adventure. The sands of the Carolina coast claim a picturesque oyster-grey in the early Atlantic light and Caribbean beaches from the Bahamas to Bonaire believe that they have the best souvenir grains for the beach sand collection.

Sadly, all of these wonderful destinations lack the best and most memorable, soft samples of snow white sand.

Whenever first time visitors arrive at Marco beach and slip their toes into the sugar-white sand they are simply overwhelmed. The sand of Marco Beach is actually closer in texture to powdered sugar or flour and when the unbelievably clean, white and soft, fluffy talcum beach begins to explore between the toes newcomers to Marco Island begin to believe. Nowhere, apparently, is there a softer or more compelling comparison to the best beach sand anywhere.

The sand of Marco beach is firm enough to run in and catch a Frisbee, play volleyball on, or jog, but the same gentle white powder is soft enough to crash into with confidence whenever the hardest volleyball spike is missed or the overthrown Frisbee is just out of reach.

The sand on Marco is so clean, white, and soft, it actually squeaks when scuffed, it drifts like snow when the gulf breeze blows, and without exception, travelers from far and wide look around in amazement as they experience Marco sand for the very first time.

Europeans often remark: “This is the softest sand ever! Nowhere in Europe is there a beach this nice.”

First time Americans are amazed that even in summer our snow white sand is never hot and is always comfortable to walk on and play in.

South Americans cannot believe the incredibly finely ground texture and the cleanliness of the entire four miles that is the Marco Beach crescent.

For any collector of beach sand, or anyone that believes that they know where the beach is best, the sand at Marco beach simply must be experienced before any sandy studies are complete.
