Stay Anytime

Dear Mr. Medwedeff,

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our recent stay at the Marriott Marco Island Resort. My wife, my daughter, my daughter’s friend, and I stayed with you Tuesday February 19th-Saturday February 23rd. I’m glad to be able to tell you how special these four days were for us. To be honest, we don’t typically have the opportunity to stay at resorts as magnificent as yours. However, after saving Marriott points for more than two years we were able to come for four days. Since it was a school vacation week, we needed to use “Stay Anytime” points, and I wasn’t sure it would be a good decision to do that. My hesitation wasn’t well founded at all. We were treated with such kindness and courtesy by every person with whom we came in contact on your staff that I found myself smiling the whole time we were there. It would be impossible to mention all of the people on your staff who helped us, but you should know that three stand out in my mind. A Front Desk attendant from Egypt (maybe Amal?) was so pleasant upon our arrival that it set the tone for our entire stay. She seemed genuinely eager to make sure that our time at the resort was as enjoyable as possible. Also, the woman who cleaned our suite each day was remarkably conscientious. I’m not sure of her name, but her tag indicated that she was from Haiti. An Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor (again, I’m not sure of the name) was efficient, friendly, and reassuring on two separate occasions. She takes her job very seriously and listens carefully when asked questions. Although the beach is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the rooms are quite comfortable and attractive, the people who work at your resort were the most important factor in making our stay so special. The only negative thing about our entire stay was the rudeness of some guests who were unwilling to abide by the Marriott no-smoking policy. I realize, however, how difficult it is to make sure that every guest complies. Thank you again for checking in on our stay. We have already told many of our friends and relatives in the Boston area how fortunate they will be if they have a chance to come to Marco Island to say at the Marriott. We have already begun accumulating Marriott points so that we can come down again in a few years. With great appreciation.
